North Railway Line - Sub-Section Entroncamento/Albergaria

The works are comprised in the overall remodelling of the Lisbon - Porto Line (the North Railway Line), and comprised the intervention in a stretch of circa 40 km between the Railway Stations of Entroncamento and Albergaria dos Doze, (Railway Stations excluded). This included the total renewal of the railway superstructure (ballast, sleepers, rails, catenaries, signalisation, telecommunication, etc...), upon a deep intervention in the platform and other infrastructures, namely, art works, contention wall, fencing, railway stations and interfaces, aiming at allowing the circulation of conventional and active pendulum trains at speeds of 140 Km/h and 220 Km/h respectively.
